FY 2025 Annual Report: “Committed to lean in and respond to community needs”
Northside Funders Group is pleased to share highlights from another impactful year of grantmaking in North Minneapolis. For over 15 years, NFG has proudly championed, resourced and celebrated Northside changemakers. Our goal is to elevate, grow and amplify the rich local assets of the Northside by bringing funders together to pool and direct investment towards community-driven solutions.
To that end, in FY25 NFG invested $470,000 in support of efforts that:
Build and Grow Economic Vitality on The Northside: Since 2021, NFG has funded emerging and established Northside Real Estate Developers recognizing their critical role in building the amenities the Northside wants and deserves.
Create Enrichment Opportunities with and for Northside Youth: Positioning Northside youth as decision-makers through participatory grantmaking practices, NFG’s goal is to expand learning by connecting Northside youth with high-quality enrichment opportunities both in and out of the classroom.
Beyond our annual grantmaking, this year NFG also actively contributed to the efforts of the Anti-Displacement Community Prosperity Program charged with developing funding strategies and deploying $10M to mitigate displacement surrounding the planned METRO Blue Line Light Rail Extension.
While there is a great deal to celebrate and be proud of, it is no secret the events of the last several months have also brought significant challenges and uncertainty. We’re here to tell you that NFG is sticking by our Northside partners and is committed to lean in and respond to community needs as we are able.
